Cycliq’s new Fly 12 CE integrated front-facing bike camera and safety light has been re-engineered to give cyclists super-sharp video recording, a more powerful light and impressive battery life.
It’s also smaller and lighter than ever-and packed with new features including their unique quick-release mounting. The new features will appeal to a wide range of cycling markets-competitive cyclists, commuters, mountain bikers and those who simply ride for fun-and the new mounting solution means the cameras will fit a range of bike types.
Technologies
There’s alot of technology packed into the new Fly 12 CE, but it’s all controlled by just two buttons. While the Fly 12 CE keeps its eyes and ears on the road, cyclists can relax and enjoy the ride.
Camera – Shoot super-sharp video at up to 60 frames per second in 1920 x 1080 pre solution with audio. The ultra-wide 135 degree viewing angle and 6-axis image stabilisation and video resolution option with High Dynamic Range (HDR) captures action footage, number plates and incidents with amazing clarity.
Light – Super-bright front light. The 600-lumen light cuts through the darkest night and is highly visible during the day. Choose from three light modes and three dimming options, or it can operate with camera only.
Battery – Massive battery power. With up to 8hrs operating time, their industry-leading battery will last longer than most rides. A full recharge only takes 2.5 hours.
Safety and Security – Be safe. Be secure. Smart video looping means never running out of storage space on the micro SD card. And if the Fly 12 CE detects the rider has been involved in an incident, it automatically locks and preserves the footage.
The in-built alarm alerts the rider’s smartphone-via the CycliqPlus app -the moment their bike is moved. For extra security, the light flashes and the camera captures everything on video, even the thief.
When the battery runs low, they still get cyclists home safely. The camera automatically turns off giving the light enough battery power for another 30 minutes.
Mounting Accessories – Quick and easy. The new Fly 12 CE can be mounted either above or below the handlebars and the new quick-release system lets cyclists attach or remove the Fly 12 CE with a simple 1/8th of a turn. Their accessory range now includes multiple mounting solutions for all cyclists and includes the Cycliq Duo Mount which also holds a bike computer.
Pocket Size – Small, sleek and tough. The pocket-sized Fly 12 CE weighs in at just 195g (5.5oz) but don’t let its size fool you. They’ve built it tough to withstand knocks, and the nano technology weather and dust protection makes it suitable for use in all conditions.
Connectivity – Ride. Record. Edit. Share. Fly 12 CE connects via ANT+ to compatible Garmin bike computers to remotely control the camera and lights. The camera connects with the Cycliq Plus mobile app through Bluetooth and to Mac or PC computers with USB. The free Cycliq Plus Desktop software lets cyclists edit footage for social sharing and with Strava integration you can overlay metrics—like heart rate and cadence—over the footage of the ride.
